Bible Bootcamp for Grown Folks
June 23, 24, 25, 2026
A 3-Day Virtual Vacation Bible School for Adults Who Want to Read the Bible with More Context, Clarity and Confidence
What You Will Experience
Over three days, we will slow down and look at the world behind
the Word. You will learn how to ask better questions of the text, how to notice what is happening around the text, and how to better understand the people, places, power systems, and culture that shape the Bible.
Each session will be taught in a clear, engaging, and practical way. No seminary degree required. No shame for what you do not know. No pressure to perform.
Just bring your Bible, your curiosity, and your willingness to learn.

Daily Topics
Day 1

We will begin with the basics: What the Bible is, what it is not, how it is organized, and why we cannot responsibly read ancient texts as they were written yesterday in our culture, language, and church tradition.
Day 2
Places, People, and Power
The Bible happened in real places among real people under real political and social conditions. We will examine how land, empire, class, gender, ethnicity, religion, and power shaped the stories we read.
Day 3
Reading the Bible With Your Brain
We will focus on how to read the Bible carefully and faithfully. You will learn practical tools for intrepretation, how to identify harmful readings, andhow to engage Scripture in ways that are honest, liberating, and rooted in love of God and neighbor.

This experience is for adults who want to understand the Bible more deeply. It is especially for Bible study leaders, preachers, ministers, church members, curious believers, faith leaders, and anyone who grew up hearing Bible stories but was never taught how to study the Bible in context.
